I wanted to be a sports writer from the minute I picked up a book on the state of Pennsylvania. Included in the content of that book was a story on Wilt Chamberlain. I decided right there that I would move to Philadelphia and write for the Philadelphia Inquirer. The destination and the paper have changed, but my desire to write about sports has not."

"There has never been a moment in my life where I wasn't positive I wanted to be a writer. The type of writer varied throughout the years, but the general theme stayed the same. I entered the political world in high school and was introduced to a life I absolutely love. Even after a devastating loss in my first campaign (remember that DeVos guy?), I knew it was my passion. Like writing, politics is a game of words and meaning... oh, and changing the world, of course. Combine the two together and you have my personal view of the perfect job; one I'd gladly do twenty-four hours a day.
